What you can see today
The dashboard presents three essential metrics on a single page:
- Daily request volume – a day‑by‑day timeline that shows exactly how much you are calling Hiro APIs
- Current plan status – a clear readout of the tier you are on and what it delivers
- Remaining quota – counts of how many requests you have left before you hit your limit
No more guessing, no more spreadsheets. Open the Platform console, glance at the chart, and know whether today’s traffic spike is healthy growth or a sign you should upgrade before the next release goes live.
Note on current billing bucket: While we finish instrumenting separate meters, all Stacks and Bitcoin API calls draw from a single shared quota. To make sure you are never short‑changed, every plan’s limit is set to the combined allowance of both services, so you get full value no matter how you split your traffic.
Why this matters
Reliable observability is a prerequisite for serious production work. Many of you are already processing thousands of transactions per day on Stacks. As sBTC adoption continues, we expect that number to jump by an order of magnitude. The Usage Dashboard is the first of many steps we are taking to give you confidence that Hiro can scale with you.
Coming soon
In the the coming months we intend to provide more tools for observability:
- Bitcoin API traffic visibility – the same level of detail for all Bitcoin endpoints
- Usage Alert Emails - directly inform you as you are reaching caps so you are never surprised
- Increased Granularity - more frequent time updates, API-specific details
Part of a larger push
Stacks continues to push towards the Bitcoin economy that many of us have believed in for years. Hiro’s job is to make sure the tooling is one step ahead of that curve. The Usage Dashboard joins Clarinet 3.0, new API endpoints, and improved developer docs in our 2025 roadmap, all aimed at helping teams launch and build real businesses and meaningful tools for the world.
Try it today
Sign in to the Platform, navigate to the API Hub, open the new Usage tab, and take a look. As always, feedback from builders is our highest priority. Drop us a note in Discord or open an issue on GitHub. Let’s keep pushing the programmable Bitcoin frontier, together.
